Hey gang!
I wanted to let everyone know that I’ve collected pretty much every PvP comic strip featuring Scratch Fury and his buddy Kirby (including all the Kringus strips) into a full-color collection called Scratch & Sniff
The book is available both as a Kindle ebook (with panel-by-panel view) and a print-on-demand paperback via Kindle Direct Publishing.
This is a bit of an experiment for me. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Kindle Direct Publishing and the quality of their print-on-demand books. It’s a tumultuous time for indie cartoonists, and I don’t blame anyone for feeling skittish about printing books traditionally, even via a crowdfunding campaign. There are simply too many variables right now to comfortably mitigate risks. Nobody wants to be stuck with a giant tariff to get their books out of a port, or a garage of products they can’t afford to ship.
I’ll be reporting back soon with all the tools I used, my experience navigating KDP, and whether or not it’s worth it for indie cartoonists like us. But I’ll tell you right now—when my author proof arrived, I was genuinely impressed. Print-on-demand may not match the quality of offset printing, but it’s come a long way. Way farther than I expected.
If you can’t or don’t want to pick up a copy, I get it. Maybe do what you can to spread the word, I’ll let you know how it goes.
Should be interesting.

I've printed a few books over the years with KDP, a comic strip collection and several coloring books. The quality started out pretty good, but it's definitely been less consistent the past few years. Their packing quality has also dropped, leaving me with lots of dinged up, bent books.
Not bad: less than 10 minutes between first hearing about this & having bought a copy. New record for me! =D
